This was done in several steps. The final improvements/expansions were completed in 2007. The RESTAURANT was added to the Main House during 2001/2 and opened for the Season 2002/2003. The GUESTHOUSE with the 3 Suites was built entirely new in 1998 and opened in 1999. The MOUNTAIN COTTAGE was also build entirely new, except for the rondavel lounge (which used to serve as a rain water collection reservoir). This construction was finished in 1999. The MOUNTAIN CABIN was an old labour cottage which was entirely renovated with new floors, higher walls and a new thatch roof, a bathroom was added. This cottage was also ready for the season 1999. The DRINKING WATER COTTAGE was entirely reconstructed and new equipment installed in 2006. The water from the borehole is chemically absolutely clean however it needs to be softened in order to prevent calcium build-up in the geysers. It can be consumed as such. The other INFRASTRUCTURAL buildings were either completely reconstructed, revamped or newly built. The WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM has been renewed and upgraded completely in 2006 from the borehole to the delivery system for the buildings. The SWIMMING POOL was built in 1997/1998 by a specialized company, with an air to water heat exchanger to heat up the water, a complete filtering system, a Chlorinator and has been relined by a pro-fessional team in 2008. The small pool, catching the water from the over-flow was built in 2004 and has also been relined at the same time. It has its own filtering system. The IRRIGATION DAM, containing approx. 50’000 lt of HO2, has existed at the time of purchase of the property. It is connected to the private borehole and supplies water for the entire garden area for irrigation. Water is available in unlimited quantities and is of high drinking quality. The GARDEN AREA has been designed by a professional Landscape Architect. The entire Garden area has been progressively landscaped, reformed and re-arranged. The gardens look today park-like, are mature and can be fully enjoyed. The rest of the property is covered by the local “FYNBOS” flora, with several hiking/walking trails (the terrain is relatively flat and very pleasant). There is no agricultural activity on the property nor in the surrounding area. However wild fynbos flowers can be picked for commercial purposes. **************** ALL CONSTRUCTIONS ARE/WERE BUILT ACCORDING TO REGULAR AND CURRENT PRESCRIPTIONS, LAWS AND REGULATIONS BY PROFESSIONAL BUILDERS.
